Join us to explore practical solutions on field and expert discussions on innovative disease and pest management.

Sant’Orsola invites you for a technical event showcasing sustainable crop protection solutions that have been successfully realized on the farms of its growers as alternatives to conventional plant protection products. The programme includes a round-table discussion followed by guided field visits, offering participants the opportunity to experience innovative practices under real farming conditions.

08:00 – Participant Registration

08:30 – Welcome and Opening Remarks

  • Introduction to the bioconfarm project and the Living Farm Labs 
  • Presentation of the first field results:
    • UV-C robot for the control of strawberry powdery mildew 
    • Attract-and-kill traps for the control of Spotted Wing Drosophila (Drosophila suzukii) 
    • Chitosan and silicon for the control of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea) in strawberry 
    • Spring sanitation practices for the management of two-spotted spider mite and strawberry powdery mildew 
    • Garlic-based applications for the control of blossom weevil (Anthonomus rubii)

13:15 – Field Visit
Visit to the farms of Sant’Orsola member growers participating in the bioconfarm project, including demonstrations and technical insights into alternative plant protection practices.
